Benefits of LTIs

The season of Leadership Training Institutes (LTIs) is underway! Offering 11 different locations across the state, the number of student leaders MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership will have the chance to influence is powerful. This year we already have over 2,200 students registered to work on specific student leadership traits focused on building stronger leaders and stronger schools.

LTIs are comprised of rotating skill sessions that were designed by the MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership Board of Delegates. Our curriculum areas target six main areas of leadership development: Leadership Styles, Diversity and Difference, Goal Setting, Team Building, Soft Skills, and Organization and Event Planning. Each area encompasses specific activities created to facilitate student involvement, growth and a deeper understanding of how to lead their own student bodies back home.

This program also allows for the networking and resource sharing of your school’s Activities advisers that attend. Each location also holds a session for advisers to gain valuable resources that related directly back to improving school culture and leadership.

LTIs focus on students who are just becoming involved in student leadership and those looking to increase their ability to create change in their own schools. Our registration for several locations has reached maximum capacity, but there are a few locations that are still open for registration. The price per member school is $30 per student and $40 per non-member student. The program runs from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at each location. If your students are ready to take leadership to the next level, make sure they do not miss this opportunity to grow and network with hundreds of other schools and student leaders! More information can be found on the LTI section of our website.
