Hello Center One! I am Luke Miller your Representative to the MAHS Board. I am from Lakeview High School, Lakeview Michigan. I am currently the President of my school’s Student Government and YAC. Last year I served as Treasurer of Student Government as well as my Honor Society and look forward to running for an executive position in my Honor Society again. I love to write, make movies, and do just about anything artistic in my spare time. I am a soccer player and a sport’s fan.
I hope this summer vacation was well for everybody. Now it is over and it is packed full of Homecoming and other activities that I am sure are stressing us all out. If things are overloading, please check out the website which is full of resources to help you out.
The 2009 State Conference is going to be great and we hope to see some good representation from the U.P. Fall Training Institutes are quickly approaching be sure to check out one near you because they are full of very resourceful presentations designed to build leadership in your school.
The Charity of the Year is Pentricken Center for Blind Children, and our goal is to raise $1 per student in over 100 schools. I strongly encourage that your school participates to help reach our goal. You can find fundraising ideas on the website.
I am looking forward to representing you in my upcoming and first term on the MAHS Board. If anybody has any questions about anything feel free to ask.
In Leadership,
Luke Miller
Center One MAHS Representative
