Position Requirements
Students must be a Junior/Senior Students must be a member of Student Council Students must demonstrate strong communication skills Students are required to attend all board meetings Students will have a voice, but may not vote on issues Students Report for the entire district, k-12
Selection Process
Students must apply There is an interview process with a board member, principal, stu co adviser Student must prepare a 5-10 minute presentation on an event that has taken place in the district Asked questions about privacy issues, purpose for running, responsibility, etc
Responsibilities
They are a liason between the School board and the student body, must attend all board meetings, may or may not be responsible for attending committee meetings, responsible for reviewing minutes and agendas, responsible for communicating with our districts elementaries, middle school, and the high school. Are responsible for following the protocol of a board meeting, responsible for discretion of confidential information
