CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Our Annual Student State Conference brings together leadership students from all across Michigan. The best student-based presentations from our Regional Conferences in February and March are selected to highlight themselves once again at our State Conference. Motivational speakers, challenging and educational activities, rewards and recognition, and some fun round out this three-day event. Our conference is packed with high energy, fabulous new school and community activities, and motivational speakers that will have you sitting in awe! Join us for a weekend of sharing ideas, enhancing personal leadership, and growing as a team.
The beautiful Grand Traverse Resort will be the site of our conference. Come to Acme, MI, and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings outside the hotel and the lavish interior of the conference areas. Since all delegates are required to stay at the Grand Traverse, it is important that reservations for the hotel and registrations for the conference are returned in a timely manner. Lock in your conference rate at the hotel using the form provided in the HOTEL section of this site.
Our State Conference has been a wonderful experience for thousands of students over the years and we look forward to another year of the same! We are excited to be able to host this gathering, along with Eisenhower High School, for our members and we encourage you to participate. While the conference is attended mostly by high school leaders, high-level junior high students are welcome to attend.
Plan ahead...for the future!

HOST SCHOOL
We are proud to be working with the amazing student leaders at Livonia Churchill High School! The State Convention Team is led by chairs Joey Salloum, Melissa Roe, Chelsea Wezensky, and Bryce Morgan. By their side, the students of CHS are led by one of MASC/MAHS's most experienced advisers, Mr. Bill Halvangis. All of us at MASC/MAHS are excited to see what CHS has put together for us.

The Student State Conference 2010 registration will be done in TWO steps! Make sure that you follow the instructions completely, in order for you to guarantee your delegation to the convention. If you have any questions, make sure to contact the MASC/MAHS office if you have any questions!
STEP ONE: Advisers should head the the MASSP Registration system to put in their total numbers for registration. (This process is similar to our fall and spring one-day conferences). Step TWO: Once your delegation numbers have been finalized, you may complete the second part of the process by providing specific student and adviser registration information. While the number will be guaranteed by March 1st, names of your delegates in step two do not need to be submitted until March 18.

SERVICE PROJECT
Canned food drives are no laughing matter at Livonia Churchill High! Over the course of the past--many families in the Livonia community have been helped by the generosity of the school and the drive of the student council.
Churchill wants to spread the opportunity to the home site of the 2010 Student State Convention, Northern Michigan. They are asking each participant (students and advisers) to bring TWO CANS of non-perishable foods in their belongings to the conference, so that we can show TOGETHER what the power of one small gesture can do for a community. For questions, feel free to contact LCHS at whalvang@livonia.k12.mi.us
