These scholarships will be awarded to student council or honor society students interested in attending one of the camps that exhibit a financial need. The principal, council or chapter must be a member of MASSP, MASC or MAHS, respectively. Eligible and interested students must submit a completed Applicant Overview Form (see page 2), including personal and adviser essays, in order to be considered for a scholarship. No more than two students from a school will be awarded scholarships.
"Mr. K" Summer Leadership Camp Scholarship
The Michigan Associations of Student Councils and Honor Societies lost a dear friend in February 2007. Mr. Jack Kalousek taught and advised at Franklin High School (Livonia, Michigan) for 12 years and was serving as their Student Activities' Director. He was passionate about student leadership and providing students opportunities to grow. His involvement at the local, state and national level was matched by very few advisers in Michigan.. He was well-known, respected, loved and treasured by advisers and students throughout Michigan and he will be dearly missed.
