A little love from your mentors.

Submitted by Todd on Wed, 01/23/2013 - 17:11.

Members of the MASC/MAHS College Volunteer Facilitator Corps participated in a training exercise this fall that talked about legacy. These 50 students discussed, developed, and directed the path that they want to leave paved for YOU, the students that we serve. One part of this was the "Bumper Sticker Project" where CVFC mentors went home and determined what phrase they would want EVERYONE around them to recognize them by. This month, they share them with YOU, our students for some mid-year inspiration.

Meet a Member School: Holly HS

We love showing off our member schools, AND we love when advisers and sponsors get the love that they deserve. This month, as we show off Holly High School (in northern Oakland County) we are reminded about how much work that our teachers, advisers, administrators, and other adults in student leadership do that goes unnoticed.

You don't have to reinvent the wheel or make a huge gesture to show these people that you care. Sometimes, it's a small message or thought that can brighten a day--or make their week! As we settle into February, MASC/MAHS encourages you to find a way to show those who work to make your schools a great place just how much they mean to you.

Midland High School says "YOU should go to Homecoming!"

Submitted by Todd on Wed, 10/12/2011 - 21:15.

Times are a-changin'!

Many schools NEVER would have thought a few years ago that homecoming and dance attendance would be an issue in student groups. However, as students like YOU change, so do the trends with councils, chapters, and other leadership groups. A longtime MASC/MAHS member, Midland High School was faced with the same issue in 2011, and decided rather than face the facts--they were going to take matters into their own hands!
