Welcome back!

I hope that everyone had a well deserved, relaxing summer. The MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership office has been working very hard to bring new features, programs and resources to the students and advisers of Michigan and I am proud to announce these new additions as we kick off the year together.

-Pistons Leadership Day

-EduBallot Discount

-Crescerance MASC/MAHS App

A new program for member schools only is “Leadership Day” with the Detroit Pistons. In order for students to truly understand the power of leadership, this must witness first hand how it is used day in and day out. What better way than taking an in-depth look at leadership positions within an NBA franchise?  This event will take a panel of executives within the Detroit Pistons organization that hold various leadership positions and give students a world-class overview of how leadership skills are put to work everyday.  After the workshop, stay and watch the leadership unfold on the court, as this event includes tickets to the Pistons game that night! Look for more details about this event coming soon and register your entire group for an incredibly education and exciting night at the Palace! For more details follow this link

Anyone adviser who is sick of creating and re-inventing the election process will be thrilled to hear that we have partnered with eduballot! eduballot allows advisers to easily, and securely managing election content, ballot categories and survey questions - to voter lists and increasing voter participation - eduBallot gives election coordinators all the tools they need to run successful online elections and surveys without the setup hassle and election controversies. “Crescere” means to grow or expand, and that’s exactly what Crescerance aims to help schools do! The company was founded to give schools the edge they deserve with their very own custom mobile solutions. Crescerance strongly believes in the power of parent and community involvement for a child’s education. They also believe that involved communities contribute to higher academic and social outcomes, stronger values, and more successful lives.

Crescerance has also developed a program to help most any student develop their own mobile app. The program, called MAD-Learn, enables students to use a design approach toward technology creation as a means of serving the community, solving problems, building entrepreneurialism, and sharing ones ideas with the world. Look for more information on this program coming to Michigan students very soon. If your student body is interested in the opportunity to create your own interactive school "app", email Matt Alley  for more information.
