The MASC/MAHS Student of the Year Award recognizes one outstanding student leader who demonstrates exceptional leadership, character, service, and commitment to making a positive impact within their school community.
Each year, one student from a MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership member school is selected by the Student Board of Delegates for this prestigious statewide recognition.
Eligible nominees may be involved in student council or government, class council, leadership class, honor society, or other recognized student leadership programs within their school.
What We’re Looking For
Strong nominees are students who:
- Demonstrate consistent leadership through both their actions and involvement
- Positively influence their peers and school community
- Take initiative and help move their organization forward
- Show a commitment to service and supporting others
- Model strong character, responsibility, and collaboration
- Use their leadership to create meaningful impact beyond themselves
Nomination & Application Process
Before beginning the Student of the Year application, review the application information and submission requirements to ensure all materials are prepared in advance.
The application is designed to give the Student Board of Delegates a complete picture of the nominee—their involvement, accomplishments, leadership growth, and impact on others.
