Exceptional Service Project

2027 Award Deadline: January 20th

The MASC/MAHS Exceptional Service Project Award recognizes member schools that put student leadership into action through meaningful service.

Student councils, honor societies, leadership classes, and other student organizations are invited to submit a service project completed during the school year. Projects may be large or small, simple or complex, and do not need to be original or unique to be considered.

The focus of this award is not on having the biggest project. Instead, the selection committee looks for projects that are thoughtfully organized, meaningfully involve students, challenge the group to lead, and make a positive contribution to the school or surrounding community.

Multiple student organizations may also collaborate on a single submission.

What We’re Looking For

Strong submissions should demonstrate:

• Clear planning and organization
• Meaningful student involvement and leadership
• A connection to an identified school or community need
• Collaboration and teamwork
• A positive impact on others
• Reflection on what students learned through the experience

This award is designed to celebrate the many ways student leaders serve others and strengthen their communities through action.
