LeadLines Adviser Newsletter
LeadLines is the monthly adviser newsletter created to help schools strengthen student leadership, build school culture, and stay connected to opportunities across Michigan Student Leadership.
Each issue includes timely resources, ready-to-use activities, program updates, event registration information, student opportunities, and practical ideas advisers can bring directly back to their councils, chapters, clubs, and leadership teams.
Published on the first Tuesday of each month, LeadLines is designed for student activity advisers, administrators, and school leaders who support student voice, student engagement, and school-wide culture. It is a member-only benefit for current MASC/MAHS schools.
LeadLines Student Briefing
Want a quick way to bring LeadLines into your next student leadership meeting?
Our monthly LeadLines includes an video and audio version designed to help advisers quickly share key updates, resources, and opportunities with their student leaders. Use it as a meeting starter, a leadership class warm-up, an officer team update, or a quick way to help students see what is happening across Michigan Student Leadership.
To make it even easier, try the LeadLines Scavenger Hunt below.
LeadLines Scavenger Hunt: Find It, Share It, Use It
Have students review the newsletter, watch the video version, or listen to the audio version. Then ask them to find:
1. One Resource
Find one adviser resource, lesson, activity, checklist, or guide that could help your group this month.
What did you find?
How could your group use it?
2. One Opportunity
Find one event, program, competition, summit, award, or registration opportunity your school should know about.
What is the opportunity?
Who at your school should hear about it?
3. One Action
Find one idea your group could actually try in the next 30 days.
What is the action?
Who will take the first step?
Quick Meeting Option
Give students 5–7 minutes to review LeadLines individually or in small groups. Then have each group share one thing they found:
- One resource we should use
- One opportunity we should promote
- One action we should take
This turns LeadLines from something advisers read into something students can use. It also helps student leaders stay connected to statewide opportunities, bring new ideas back to their schools, and take more ownership in what happens next.
