Habits Presentation
For this year’s camp program, our team has focused our efforts on creating successful outcomes in a digital environment. To that end, our curricular aim is to provide tangible tools and techniques that allow our students to be successful both in and outside the classroom. Partnering with FranklinCovey, the developers of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens”, our curricular sets allow students to take part in engaging presentations followed by smaller group “council time” to bring these techniques to life.
Camp Councils
In a traditional year, our Summer Leadership Camp brings together over 500 student leaders from all across the state of Michigan. Each student is placed into a smaller cohort or “council.” Each council is composed of around 15 students, a senior counselor (educator facilitator) and a junior counselor (elected college student facilitator.) This allows our students to learn, bond and growth with other students in a more personal and impactful setting.
RISE UP Camp Curriculum
Leader in Me Program
Our camp program will be pulling direct content, activities and video lessons from the Leader in Me LMS. Students will not need to access another platform, as our team will compile specific documents and lessons that fit our curricular presentations and council discussions to deliver content packets to all campers.
