Students present, share, and showcase their work in front of peers, with participants voting on the best of the best. Top teams and individuals earn the opportunity to advance as finalists and take the stage at the State Conference.

Regional Connect conferences bring together students from all across the state of Michigan to learn and grow from presentations that are completely student driven. Each year MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership partners with host schools across the state to bring our location venues to life with unique themes, student networking, idea sharing sessions, keynotes speakers, leadership curricular activities and of course, student showcase presentations.
Student Showcase Presentation Guidelines
This is what student leadership is all about! Student Showcase Presentations allow for students to present the very best in programming currently being executed in your school.
Your student organization has done something AMAZING to support students, staff and your community as a whole and we want to hear about it! This year’s student showcase presentations will focus on the outstanding and creative work of students and advisers.
Possible Topic List
(The following is a list of ideas. Feel free to submit any student initiative or program facilitated by your student organization)
These student-delivered presentations allow for the unique opportunity to not only showcase your incredible programs, but also fine tune your students’ presentation tactics and public speaking abilities – a critical component for young leaders. Most presentations consist of teams of 2, 3 or 4 students to deliver these impactful sessions.
The best part of presenting your Showcase at a Regional event is that your presentation can be selected to present at the State Conference! The top presentations from our Regional Connect events are voted on by attending schools for a chance to present to student leaders from across the State of Michigan!
More information on the number of showcases being selected, voting guidelines and selection structure will be available in the coming months.
In order to give students all the tools they need to deliver a world class presentation, we have developed a number of resources to assist in the creation, presentation and execution of your Showcase Presentation. This information can be found on the righthand side of this page under the “Showcases” tab on the righthand side of this page.
Student showcases are the backbone of our Regional Connect programs. Students submit presentations on various topics and programs that are unique to their own school’s mission and share these ideas in breakout sessions to their fellow student leaders. Showcases give our student leaders the chance to present a concept, program, fundraiser, school-wide event, etc. to dozens of others schools at each event. These 40min presentations are designed to give our student audiences all the tools they would need to put this program into action in their own building! Adding to the excitement, the best Regional Showcase presentations will be selected to present at this years MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership State Conference!

Host a Regional Connect event for your center! MASC/MAHS is currently accepting applications for our Regional Connect Host schools. This unique opportunity allows your student crew to work directly with MASC/MAHS leadership, learning new skill sets on planning, logistical focus, promotional and event execution at the state level (plus its fun!)
Any member school is welcome to apply, big or small, these are opportunities that your group will feed off of for years to come.
